Born Old is an interdisciplinary performance for children aged 4 to 10 years old.

The piece re-creates familiar characters from the Finnish epic poem Kalevala through dance, songs and digital magic. We meet a traveller from a faraway land, who shares stories of the adventures of Väinämöinen, who was born already an old, wise man who could make magic with his songs and music. Väinämöinen is an eco-warrior, who uses his magic to grow plants and trees and create the beautiful garden of Kalevala. We follow him to the mystical North where he is tricked by the powerful witch Louhi and he needs all his courage and magic to escape her greedy grip and return home to Kalevala.
