(The performances are ongoing during the whole autumn.)
Based on the novel written in 1884 by a famous Finnish author Juhani Aho, Rautatie (Railway) depicts the life of an elderly couple that shatters as a railway is built in the neighbouring village. The trip to the railway station and on board a train becomes a mind-blowing experience. Even though the couple returns home, nothing is as it used to be.
The show moves along with dance and music starting from the landscape of the 19th century, but rushing towards the future on the train. On the railway, the past and the present collide and raise a question about where we are going.
